Gym & Workouts

Building, editing, and running workouts

// Walkthrough
01

Choose how to start

+ New creates a workout or folder. When available, it can also launch an empty Open Gym session or bring in a ready-made plan from Library or Coach.

02

Build the plan

Tap an exercise to edit each set's reps, weight, and Main, Warmup, or Drop type. Add, remove, or drag sets into order; then configure rest, RPE, tempo, notes, and supersets. Exercise rows can also be reordered, swapped, or removed.

03

Adjust today's workout

Tap + Add set for extra work. Swipe a pending set left to remove it, or hold and drag pending sets to reorder them. In the exercise list, swipe an exercise that isn't finished for Swap or Remove; drag the handle when it appears to reorder movable exercises, or use Add Exercise at the bottom.

04

Minimize without stopping

Use the Live Tracker's down chevron to return to the app. The persistent workout bar reopens the session wherever you are.

05

Finish and review the plan

Finish & Save writes the session to History. If today's structure changed, choose Update plan to keep those changes in the saved workout, or Keep as-is to save only today's log. Discard permanently removes the active session.

06

Organize and reuse

Group workouts in folders, search the exercise library, create reusable exercises, archive old plans, and edit imported workouts as your own copies.

// Frequently asked
Q1

How do I create a workout?

In the Gym, tap + New → New workout, give it a name, then add exercises with their sets, reps, and weight. Drag to reorder. To make a superset, open an exercise's menu, choose Create superset, then choose up to two partners.
Q2

What's the difference between the Gym and my Routine?

Your Routine is the set of exercises you aim to do regularly — it drives your Today page and your streak. The Gym is your library of structured workouts you can start as a session whenever you like.
Q3

Where do I manage an active workout?

In the Live Tracker. Tap the workout name or progress strip to open the exercise list — add, swap, remove, or reorder what's left in today's workout right there. Tap + Add set for another set, or swipe a pending set left to remove it. The workout page in Gym stays the saved-plan editor.
Q4

What happens if I edit a workout while it is active?

Editing the saved plan during a session changes future workouts only; today's workout stays as-is. Changes you make in the Live Tracker apply to today, and Finish & Save lets you choose Update plan to promote them to the saved workout or Keep as-is to preserve the original plan.
Q5

Can I add my own exercises?

Yes. If an exercise isn't in the built-in library, add a custom one with its name and tracking type. It's saved to your library and reusable across every workout.
